The HiPipo Music Awards 2017 : Complete List of Winners

Yesterday, we witnessed the happening of the 5th prestigious HiPipo Music Awards (#HMA2017) at the Serena Hotel in Kampala. The HiPipo team increased the number of categories from 27 to 38 and introduced 8 new categories  including; ‘Quinquennial Africa Music Vanguard Award (2012/2016)’, ‘Music Icon of the Decade (Uganda: 2006-2016)’, ‘Must Watch Talent’, ‘Commended A-Cappella Group’, ‘Song of the Year-Kenya’, ‘Song of the Year-Tanzania’, ‘Song of the Year-Rwanda’ and ‘Song of the Year-South Sudan’. This year we have seen Beebe Cool & Sheebah take home the biggest awards of the nights which is a reflection of their hard-work of the past year. The event had top billing performances from acts such as Ziza Bafana, Navio, Sheebah Karungi, Bebe Cool, Sammy Kasule, Frank Mbalire, Ziwuna Band, Maureen Nantume, Levixone, Feffe Bussi, Afande Miah, Affande OJ, Sauti Ya Africa, Dj Pius among others.
